How to Grow a Pineapple ?

Pineapples can be grown from seeds, or you can purchase them in stores. You can also start a pineapple plant from the top of a store-bought pineapple. The pineapple crown contains preformed roots; you can plant this section three to four inches deep. When planting the pineapple crown, use good potting soil that is well-drained. Ratoons, or pups, can also be planted from their parent plant. However, planting them on their own is better, as the larger pups will reach maturity sooner.
